Hello! I’m Jonny Lewis, the person who created Song Decode. I’m a lyricist. I’m all about helping you understand and write lyrics. Let me share a bit about myself and why I’m the right person to help you.

I started playing around with words at the University of Oxford, where I studied English Literature. I focused on contemporary poetry and song lyrics because I’ve always been intrigued by how words can make us feel things and paint pictures in our minds. While at Oxford, I wrote a big paper about how deep lyrics can be in today’s music, and that really got me hooked on dissecting song meanings.

But I didn’t stop at just studying. I also played guitar and was in a small indie band during my university days. This gave me a good sense of how music is put together and how lyrics are crafted. Being hands-on with songwriting helped me see things from the artist’s perspective.
